If you have unwanted hair in unwanted places, electrolysis is a treatment that can remove hair permanently. Electrolysis is often used after a laser hair removal course, because it is able to remove white hair that cannot be treated with IPL

You can have electrolysis to remove hair from every single are of the face and body.

A very fine flexible sterile probe is inserted into the hair follicle. Once the probe is inserted into your hair follicle, a burst of specifically timed and measured current is discharged to destroy hair cells. The probe is then withdrawn and the hair is lifted out of the follicle with a sterile tweezer

What causes unwanted hair growth?

Hair growth is the result of your genes and hormone levels, although some medications, temporary methods of hair removal, and illnesses can stimulate hair growth. A common reason for excess hair growth in women is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal condition where women’s sex hormones are out of balance. Electrolysis may be an option when hair growth is in an area of the body where it may not be desired such as on a woman’s upper lip, chin, or bikini line

PRE-TREATMENT CARE

PRE-TREATMENT CARE

  • Hydrate and Moisturize! It is important to be hydrated for your treatment as dry hair follicles are difficult to treat. The session will be more comfortable and more effective with hydrated follicles! Please drink plenty of liquids the day before, day of, and day after your appointment and moisturize the day before and the day of your appointment.
  • Cleanliness is an important part of your treatment, please make sure you are showered and clean before you arrive for body treatments such as bikini and under arms. Clean skin reduces risk of infection and irritation, so makeup, deodorants, lotions and oils should be avoided the day of procedure.
  • Hair must be visible, the longer the hair, the easier and faster we can work, so choose a day and time in the week that works better to get best results.
