ipl laser hair reduction

At Naomi Waite Aesthetics, we offer IPL SHR laser hair reduction as one of our premier services for clients who desire long-term hair removal solutions without the hassle of frequent shaving, waxing, or plucking.

IPL SHR laser hair reduction is a cutting-edge technology that uses the power of advanced light therapy to destroy hair follicles at the root, preventing regrowth of hair in the future. This treatment is safe, effective, and painless, making it an excellent choice for clients who want to get rid of unwanted hair on various parts of the body, including the legs, bikini area, arms, chest, back, and face.

The IPL SHR technology is different from traditional laser hair removal as it uses selective photothermolysis to target the hair follicles at a deeper level than regular laser hair removal, leading to better results. The SHR technology also uses a continuous sweeping motion that allows for quicker treatment times, making it a perfect solution for those with a busy schedule.

The IPL SHR laser hair reduction treatment can be customised to fit the unique needs and preferences of each client, providing a tailored solution that suits their specific skin type, hair color, and thickness. Before the treatment, a thorough consultation is conducted with a qualified technician to assess the client’s needs and recommend the best plan of action.

At Naomi Waite Aesthetics, our technicians are highly trained and certified to deliver the IPL SHR laser hair reduction treatment with precision and care. We use only the latest technology and tools to ensure optimal results while minimizing discomfort or side effects.

IPL SHR laser hair reduction is an excellent choice for clients, both men and women, seeking a long-term hair removal solution that is safe, painless, and effective. Contact us today to learn more about how we can help you achieve your desired results!

Frequently asked questions

IPL SHR Laser Hair Reduction is an innovative hair removal treatment that uses intense pulses of light (IPL) to target hair follicles beneath the skin’s surface. The laser energy is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle, which damages the follicle, preventing it from producing more hair. This treatment is suitable for all skin types, even those with darker skin tones.

This treatment is generally considered pain-free and comfortable. Some clients report a slight warming sensation during treatment, but it is not painful.

The number of sessions required varies from person to person, but most clients require six to eight sessions to achieve the best results. This is because hair grows in cycles, and IPL SHR Laser Hair Reduction can only effectively target hair in the anagen (active growth) phase. Multiple sessions ensure that all hair follicles are treated in their anagen phase.

IPL SHR Laser Hair Reduction provides long-lasting results, but it is not considered a permanent hair removal solution. After completing the initial treatment course, clients will likely require maintenance sessions every six to twelve months to maintain hair reduction results.

IPL SHR Laser Hair Reduction is a safe treatment with minimal side effects. Some clients may experience slight redness or swelling in the treated area after the treatment, but this generally subsides within a few hours.

The cost of IPL SHR Laser Hair Reduction varies depending on the area being treated and the number of sessions required. As it is considered a cosmetic treatment, it is not covered by insurance. Still, our clinic offers competitive and transparent pricing, with no hidden costs.

Before your treatment, you should avoid sun exposure, tanning beds and self-tanners for at least two weeks. You should shave the treatment area before the appointment, and avoid waxing or plucking for six weeks before the session.

After your treatment, you should avoid sun exposure, tanning beds and self-tanners for at least one week. You should also avoid hot baths, saunas, and exercise for 24 hours after your treatment, as these activities may cause excessive sweating and irritation of the treated area.
