medical microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses a mechanical exfoliation device to gently remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells, revealing a smoother, brighter and younger-looking complexion. The treatment involves a qualified therapist using a handheld device to evenly and thoroughly buff away the surface layer of skin, leaving the skin refreshed and revitalised.

At Naomi Waite Aesthetics clinic, we use only the highest quality microdermabrasion machines, which are specially designed to be gentle yet effective. The treatment can be customized to suit your specific skin type and concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne, and scarring.

Microdermabrasion is a great option for those who want to improve the overall texture and appearance of their skin without undergoing more invasive treatments. It is suitable for all skin types and does not require any downtime, making it a perfect option for those with hectic lifestyles.

During your appointment, the therapist will thoroughly cleanse your skin before using the microdermabrasion device. This will ensure that your skin is prepped and ready for maximum results. The treatment itself is very comfortable, and most clients describe it as feeling like a gentle massage.

After the treatment, you may notice an immediate improvement in the texture and appearance of your skin. Results continue to improve over time as collagen and elastin production is stimulated. Most clients require a series of treatments to achieve optimal results, and our team will work with you to create a personalised treatment plan to achieve your goals.

Microdermabrasion is a safe and effective treatment that can help you achieve a brighter, smoother, and more youthful-looking complexion. Our team of qualified therapists at Naomi Waite Aesthetics clinic are here to help you achieve your skincare goals. Book a consultation today to find out more.

Frequently asked questions

Microdermabrasion Diamond Peel is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that exfoliates the skin using a diamond-tipped wand. The diamond head abrades the outermost layer of the skin, removing dead skin cells and promoting new cell growth. It is an effective way to improve the appearance of skin imperfections such as fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation and other age-related skin concerns.

The treatment involves a therapist using a special diamond-tipped wand to gently abrade the surface of your skin. A suction device will then remove the dead skin cells and debris. The treatment typically lasts around 30 minutes and you can return to your normal activities immediately after.

The treatment is generally pain-free, although you may feel a mild scratching sensation as the wand is moved across your skin. The suction during the treatment may also cause a slight pulling sensation.

No, there is no downtime required after a Microdermabrasion Diamond Peel treatment. Your skin may appear slightly red or feel tender for a few hours, but this is normal and will soon subside.

Most people are suitable for the treatment, except for those with active acne or rosacea, those with extremely sensitive skin, or those who have recently undergone facial surgery. A consultation with a therapist is recommended prior to the treatment to ensure that Microdermabrasion Diamond Peel is the right treatment for you.

In general, Microdermabrasion Diamond Peel is a safe and effective treatment with minimal side effects. However, some people may experience temporary redness, swelling or bruising. It is important to follow your therapist’s aftercare advice to minimise any potential side effects.

The number of treatments needed will depend on your skin concerns and goals. A course of 6-8 treatments is usually recommended, with treatments spaced about two weeks apart. After this initial course, maintenance treatments may be recommended every 4-6 weeks.

Yes, Microdermabrasion Diamond Peel can be combined with other treatments such as chemical peels or LED light therapy to enhance results. A consultation with a therapist will determine the best course of treatment for your individual needs.

Microdermabrasion Diamond Peel can leave your skin looking brighter, smoother and more refreshed. It can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation and other skin concerns. Individual results may vary and factors such as age, lifestyle and skin type can impact the outcome of the treatment.
