Created to achieve younger, brighter, smoother skin

Mesotherapy contains a cocktail of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and hyaluronic acid.  It is designed to boost cell turnover, hydrate and provide essential supplements to the skin. Mesotherapy is one of the most popular skin rejuvenation techniques in the aesthetic market, it improves the appearance of dull, lifeless, tired looking skin and can also aid in the improvement of skin concerns. The treatment works by directly introducing mixtures of vitamins, minerals and active ingredients to deeper layers of the skin, as a result the skin appears plumper and achieves a radiant, more youthful glow.

The treatment uses very fine needles to administer a combination of vitamins, hyaluronic acid, plant extracts and enzymes in to the support layer of the skin. This is something that cannot be achieved by using regular skincare only.

Mesotherapy promotes the production of the building blocks of the skin, as well as stimulating your skin’s metabolism, resulting in a rejuvenated, firmer skin. This popular treatment corrects the underlying issues such as poor circulation and inflammation that can cause skin damage.

A course of mesotherapy treatments is required to achieve optimal results. There is no preparation time and minimal downtime.

What Are The Benefits of Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy can instantly improve dull, tired looking skin and superficial wrinkles but can also help to improve sluggish blood circulation, aiding the body to flush out ageing toxins. This treatment can also be used to address hyperpigmentation, treat acne and ‘lit-from-within’ skin glow.

Mesotherapy vitamin cocktails  can stimulate the fibroblast cell in the skin to produce more collagen to combat the signs of ageing. Amongst the list of skin-friendly plant ingredients injected are vitamins, growth factors, Hyaluronic acid, peptides, antioxidants and trace elements that provide the ideal environment for healthy skin that copes with the ageing process better.

A typical mesotherapy cocktail might generally contain over active 50 ingredients to nourish, repair and rejuvenate skin.

It’s definitely worth doing if you have an event that you want a quick-fix for, and can be combined alongside anti -wrinkle injections and fillers.

What’s involved?

A series of micro injections are applied at the epidermal layer of the skin. These ingredients contain naturally occurring micro nutrients beneficial to the skin. The patient feels a mild pricking sensation, which is usually easily tolerated.

In skin tissue, Hyaluronic Acid is a jelly-like substance that replenishes the space between collagen fibres and elastin. It has a powerful anti-ageing and moisturising effect, even appropriate for oily or sensitive skin. It is used to reduce scars and wrinkles. Besides, it is used as temporal filling and absorbed slowly, but as it is applied every 7/15 days, it causes stimulation and creation of one’s own collagen. Hyaluronic acid has the ability to retain water in an amount equivalent to thousands of times its weight, thus providing volume and helping epidermis hydration. It turns
on the fibroblast function and the collagen synthesis as well as different factors related to skin growth, thus slowing down ageing natural processes.

Frequently asked questions

What is Mesotherapy used for?

During Mesotherapy treatment, natural ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid gel are used to rehydrate the skin and induce collagen production, essentially benefiting fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, chin lines, lip lines, furrows and nasolabial folds.

What happens during a Mesotherapy treatment?

Careful discussion regarding your reasons for wanting treatments for your skin are particularly important before you begin Mesotherapy. This is to ensure that the treatment can deliver what you want and how you would like to look afterwards.  Treatment can take place immediately after your consultation and you will be informed of how many treatments you may require

A medical history will be taken to make sure that there are no reasons why you shouldn’t undertake treatment and you may be asked to sign a consent form which means that you have understood the potential benefits and risks associated with the procedure.

Photographs may be taken by the practitioner for a “before and after” comparison.

How long will it take to recover from Mesotherapy?

After the treatment you can return to normal activities.

How long do mesotherapy results last?

Mesotherapy for skin rejuvenation is generally given in a course of treatments with results lasting between 3-5 months. Top up treatments will be required to maintain the results. Treatment protocols vary depending on the indication and serum used.

What are the risks and potential complications from Mesotherapy treatment?

Fine needles are used to help keep any pain – which is generally only minor and short lived – to a minimum.

Possible side-effects are small bruises which vanish in a few days, and a little swelling in the injected area which remains for about 12 – 36 hours.

Some individuals may experience an allergic reaction to the products used, although this is a rare occurrence.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Like with any other cosmetic injection procedure, very rare side effects might include bruising, reaction to the injected vitamin cocktail , infection, inflammation and swelling.

How many Mesotherapy treatments will I need?

The number of facial mesotherapy sessions you will require depends on the skin condition that you want treating. We usually recommend 6 sessions 2-4 weeks apart, in order to achieve your desired results. However, it’s not unusual to see significant results just after only one session.

Can I wear make-up after my treatment?

We advise keeping your face clear of makeup for 24 hours following facial mesotherapy.

How long should I wait to wash my hair after a treatment session?

You can wash your hair after 24 hours of Mesotherapy with your routine shampoo.

Are there any contraindications?

Almost none but known allergy to components in the proposed mesotherapy cocktail, pregnancy, breastfeeding, kelloid scarring, active infection or malignancy.

Is the treatment safe?

Yes, all the substances used, normally occur in the skin but degrade as our skin becomes older and stressed. Mesotherapy replaces these naturally occurring vitamins and nutrients.
