mesotherapy treatment

Mesotherapy contains a cocktail of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and hyaluronic acid.  It is designed to boost cell turnover, hydrate and provide essential supplements to the skin, It is one of the most popular skin rejuvenation techniques in the aesthetic market, it improves the appearance of dull, lifeless, tired looking skin and can also aid in the improvement of skin concerns. The treatment works by directly introducing mixtures of vitamins, minerals and active ingredients to deeper layers of the skin, as a result the skin appears plumper and achieves a radiant, more youthful glow.

The treatment uses very fine needles to administer a combination of vitamins, hyaluronic acid, plant extracts and enzymes in to the support layer of the skin. This is something that cannot be achieved by using regular skincare only.

Mesotherapy promotes the production of the building blocks of the skin, as well as stimulating your skin’s metabolism, resulting in a rejuvenated, firmer skin. This popular treatment corrects the underlying issues such as poor circulation and inflammation that can cause skin damage.

A course of mesotherapy treatments is required to achieve optimal results. There is no preparation time and minimal downtime.

Frequently asked questions

What is Mesotherapy used for?

During a Mesotherapy treatment, natural ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid gel are used to rehydrate the skin and induce collagen production, essentially benefiting fine lines, wrinkles, Crow’s feet, chin lines, lip lines, furrows and nasolabial folds.

What happens during a Mesotherapy treatment?

Careful discussions regarding your reasons for wanting treatment of your skin are very important before you begin mesotherapy. You must also make sure that this treatment can deliver what you want and how you would like to look afterwards.

A medical history should also be taken to make sure that there are no reasons why you shouldn’t undertake treatment. You may be asked to sign a consent form which means that you have understood the potential benefits and risks associated with the procedure.

Photographs may also be taken by the practitioner for a “before and after” comparison at a later date.

Treatment may be carried out immediately after an initial consultation at which point you will be informed as to how many treatments you will require.

How long will it take to recover from Mesotherapy?

After the treatment you can return to normal activities.

How long do mesotherapy results last?

Mesotherapy for skin rejuvenation is generally given in a course of treatments with results lasting between 3-5 months. Top up treatments will be required to maintain the results. Treatment protocols vary depending on the indication and serum used.

What are the risks and potential complications from Mesotherapy treatment?

Fine needles are used to help keep any pain – which is generally only minor and short lived – to a minimum.

Possible side-effects are small bruises which vanish in a few days, and a little swelling in the injected area which remains for about 12 – 36 hours.

Some individuals may experience an allergic reaction to the products used, although this is a rare occurrence.

Who should not have a Mesotherapy treatment?

You should not undergo mesotherapy if you have a history of any allergic reactions to any of the substances being injected.
